Welcome to our Company Website!  Leichter’s Floor Covering has been operating as an S Corporation for the last four years.  Before we became incorporate the company operated as Leichter’s Flooring for twelve years.  The main focus of both of these Flooring companies was serving commercial customers. 

Leichter’s Floor Covering uses experienced non-union flooring installers for all of our projects.  Our installers can professionally install any type of flooring material that a project may require.  We have both the ability and the experience to move furniture to allow for the installation of new flooring.   It is not always practical and cost effective to shut down a job site to allow for the installation of new flooring.  For this reason, Leichter’s Floor Covering can work at nights and/or on the weekends to complete a project with little or no impact on the businesses normal operations.

Before Leichter’s Flooring was started, my dad Steven Leichter was the Owner/Operator of the Carpet Center in Berkeley.  My father purchased the business in 1985.  The Carpet Center was in a number of different locations since it’s opening in 1949.  The Carpet Center sold and installed all types of flooring for both residential and commercial customers.
